Admissions Process

INQUIRIES/TOUR

Our admissions process begins with a tour. Tours are held every Thursday morning at 9:30 a.m. or by appointment for our out of town prospective families. For inquiries and tour reservations, click here.

APPLICATION:

Complete the online application no later than February 1, 2019 to be considered for the 2019-2020 school year. The applications for students who have siblings that are current St. Anne students, must be received no later than December 1, 2018 in order for them to be considered as sibling status.

IF YOU ARE INTERESTED

in applying to St. Anne Catholic School, submit the online application and pay a $125.00, per family, non-refundable, application fee.

The following documents are required:

  • Birth certificate
  • Baptismal certificate, if Catholic
  • First Communion certificate, if applicable
  • Current report card & most recent standardized test results, if applicable
  • Authorization to Release Information
  • Teacher Recommendation Forms
  • Immunization records

In addition, the following requirements must be met for specific grade levels:

  • PK3- three years old prior to September 1 and toilet trained prior to the first day of school
  • PK4- four years old prior to September 1
  • Kindergarten- five years old prior to September 1
  • 1st grade- six years old prior to September 1

Once all the above information has been received, your application will be prioritized according to the date it was received and by:

  • Siblings of students presently attending St. Anne Catholic School
  • Registered parishioners of St. Anne Catholic Church for at least six months prior to the opening of school registration
  • Registered parishioners of other Archdiocesan parishes
  • All others

Beyond the Application:

After completing the online application, the Admissions Committee will meet and review the student’s application. Applicants who meet admissions criteria are invited to participate in an Early Childhood Assessment Day in February, or for applicants in grades 1st-8th, participate in a shadow day, individually scheduled at a later date.  Invitations are scheduled based on projected available openings and the strength of the student’s application. Applicants who are not contacted for an interview will be contacted with information on how to keep the file active for any future openings.

The policy of non-discrimination refers to the acceptance and participation of all students. The School adheres to the policies stipulated by the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston.

Admission to St. Anne Catholic School is based on class capacity, the availability of resources as well as the developmental, scholastic and behavioral qualifications of the applicant. All applicants are required to participate in the School’s admission interview and screening process. The School Principal has final authority over all admission decisions and may waive any admissions criterion at his/her discretion.

ADMISSIONS TIMELINE

Applications for the 2019-2020 school year will be accepted beginning September 1, 2018.  The deadline for applications is February 1, 2019, and December 1, 2018 for sibling applicants.  Applications may be considered after the deadline if there is an opportunity for the grade.
