School Board

The St. Anne Catholic School Board serves as an advisory body that assists the Pastor and Principal with policymaking in matters of education. The Board is responsible to the Pastor for achieving archdiocesan and parish goals for education; for reviewing and proposing the budget for the school; and for reporting on the status of education in the school.

Discernment for a three year position on the School Board is open to all parishioners and parents of children attending St. Anne Catholic School. Members must be Virtus trained and attend and participate in all meetings.

Angel Ayala

Angel is serving his second year on the school board and is a member of the Finance Committee and the Discernment Committee.  Angel and his wife, Rita, are parishioners at St. Anne and they have two children, Alessandra and Nicolas, who attend St. Anne Catholic School.  Angel is the Americas Planning & Appraisal Manager for Shell Lubricants.

Chris Lindstrom

Chris is a third year member of the school board and serves on the Strategic Planning, Policy and Advancement Committees.  He is a Partner at Potts Law Firm where he practices commercial litigation, insurance coverage and personal injury litigation.   Chris and his wife Gricelda have been parishioners since 2006, and have three children at St. Anne Catholic School: Lucia (5th Grade), Rocco (3rd Grade)and Raif (2nd Grade).

Chris Price

Chris is serving his first year on the school board.  Chris is not only a St. Anne Catholic School alum (class of 1990) but he has also been a parishioner of St. Anne Catholic Church for most of his life.  He and his wife Amy were married at St. Anne Catholic Church and currently have three boys enrolled in St. Anne Catholic School.  Chris is an Energy Trader at Direct Energy where he has worked since 2006.

Christie Shopoff

Christie is a partner at Deloitte specializing in corporate taxation.  Christie is serving her second year on the school board.  She chairs the Finance Committee and serves on the Strategic Planning Committee.  She and her husband, Michael, have been married for 18 years and have been parishioners at St. Anne Catholic Church since 2009.  They have two children, Courtney and Colt, both of whom attend St. Anne Catholic School.

Dawn Martinez

Mrs. Martinez joined St. Anne Catholic School as Principal in 2017.  She has been a part of St. Anne Catholic School administration since 2001 as the Assistant Principal. She holds a Bachelor of Arts from St. Edward University, a Masters in Education from Southwest Texas State University, as well as a Certificate in Education Administration from the University of St. Thomas. She has worked in Houston area Catholic schools since the mid 90s.

Ileana Del Toro

Ileana is currently a member of the Finance Committee. Ileana and her husband, Mike Fountain, are parishioners at St. Anne Catholic Church and have two children enrolled at St. Anne Catholic School: Dahlia (5th) and Trey (K). Ileana is the Controller of The Menil Collection, where she oversees accounting, finance, budgeting and the investment portfolio of the Menil’s endowment.

James Sowerby

James began his first year on the school board in school year 2018/19 and is serving on the Strategic Planning Committee.  He and his wife, Katarina, have been married for 20 years and parishioners at St. Anne Catholic Church since 2011.  Their daughter, Addie, is entering 1st Grade, and her 4th year, at St. Anne Catholic School.  James is a Global Account Executive with ENGIE, and enjoys playing and coaching sports in his spare time.

Jennifer Tessin

Jennifer is serving her first year as a school board member and has been a parishioner since graduating from college and moving to Houston.  Jennifer has worked in Houston for Accenture for the past 15+ years, focusing on technology consulting for energy clients.  Jennifer is a member of the Strategic Planning and Advancement Committees.  Jennifer enjoys volunteering at the school and is currently serving as the 2nd grade Brownie troop leader.  Jennifer has two children attending St. Anne, Paige and Garrett.
