Mission & Philosophy

Mission Statement

The mission of St. Anne Catholic School is to develop each student academically, spiritually, culturally, physically, and interpersonally in a Catholic environment.

Philosophy Statement

St. Anne Catholic School, as a ministry of St. Anne Catholic Community, is committed to offering our students academic excellence in a nurturing environment. St. Anne embraces the uniqueness of each child and celebrates the diversity of the student body. We consider the family as a partner in the endeavor to provide an opportunity for the optimal growth of each child. We provide a Catholic atmosphere in which students have the opportunity to grow into responsible members of the Body of Christ. Our philosophy is built upon the Basilian Fathers’ cornerstone: “Teach me Goodness, Discipline, and Knowledge”.

St. Anne Catholic School’s goals and objectives stem from the five pillars of our mission statement.

Spiritual Goals and Objectives

St. Anne Catholic School, conscious of its mission to educate the citizens of the Body of Christ, has set the following objectives:

  • To create a Catholic identity through a religious program that touches all aspects of the student’s school life;
  • To model gospel values in our actions as educators and administrators;
  • To be sensitive to religious differences in our midst;
  • To understand and be responsive to our role in creating social and economic justice;
  • To expand our Christian community to include the student’s family in our faith journey;
  • To serve all people in our community.
Academic Goals and Objectives

In addition to its spiritual mission, St. Anne Catholic School recognizes its responsibility to provide an environment conducive to academic excellence. In order to achieve this, the following objectives have been set:

  • To provide a rigorous curriculum that will challenge the abilities and talents of students;
  • To provide a qualified, dedicated faculty that will use diverse methodologies to meet the educational needs of students;
  • To encourage the faculty members to continue their professional growth by providing funds and support for their attendance of classes, seminars, and workshops;
  • To provide a link to prior learning and build a foundation for future learning;
  • To conference with families at least two times each year (more often if necessary or requested) to discuss each student’s progress and welfare.
Cultural & Interpersonal Goals and Objectives

St. Anne Catholic School celebrates the cultural diversity of its student body while recognizing that all comprise one family in the Body of Christ. Social skills and relationship development are core components of the whole child. In order to promote an understanding of the unity of all people, the following objectives have been set:

  • To acknowledge the cultural and racial diversity within our community;
  • To model acceptance of others in our actions as educators and administrators;
  • To give opportunities to practice using interpersonal skills, throughout the year in which families, teachers and administrators may interact;
  • To effectively communicate between families, teachers, and staff regarding academic and social development of students;
  • To promote an understanding of different cultures through the curriculum.
Physical Development and Physical Environment Goals and Objectives

St. Anne Catholic School considers physical health and well-being to be important aspects of the development of the whole child. To aid in such development, the following objectives have been created:

  • To provide health education that promotes respect for the human body and fitness for life;
  • To offer a comprehensive physical education program;
  • To provide opportunities for sportsmanship;
  • To recognize and maintain the integrity and history of St. Anne by linking the past to the present while updating the buildings and grounds;
  • To provide a secure, well-maintained, attractive facility.
