In grades one through five, St. Anne students have a strong foundation in the core areas. In grades one and two, students spend the majority of their day with their classroom teacher and the teacher’s aide. It is with their classroom teacher that they study Religion, Language Arts, Math, Science and Social Studies. Students also take classes in Spanish, Art, Music, Computer and Physical Education. The students also visit the Library on a weekly basis. In grades three-five, students begin to change classes on a limited basis.
There are two classrooms of each grade and students switch between the classrooms. Students receive daily Religion instruction from an Archdiocesan certified Religion teacher and attend Mass once a week with their classmates. There is a resource teacher available to students who need reinforcement or enrichment. Technology is an integral part of the curriculum. Each classroom has a interactive white boards and the students in third-fifth grade have access to a mobile computer lab and an iPad cart. These technology features are used for research, multimedia presentations and the use of apps for increased learning.
